The lidar point cloud data were used to create classified lidar LAS files, intensity images, hydro-flattened DEMs, highest hit surface models, 3D building footprints, Canopy Cover Models, Solar Exposure models, Ray Traced RGBIR Images, and 3D breaklines of rivers and lakes within the study area.</span></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Product: </span><span>Hydroflattened Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data covering the City of Tacoma 2024 Lidar project area.</span></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Geographic Extent</span><span>: This dataset and derived products encompass an area covering approximately 43,613 acres of Western Washington.</span></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Dataset Description: </span><span>Lidar flight line swaths were processed to create 445 classified LAS 1.4 files delineated in 2250ft x 2250ft tiles. Each LAS file contains lidar point information, which has been calibrated, controlled, and classified. All permanent building structures exceeding 200 square feet were initially classified in the point cloud and then extracted using proprietary methods. Additional products include classified LAS files, intensity images, Hydroflattened DEMs, and highest hit surface models, 3D building footprints, Canopy Cover Models, Solar Exposure models, Ray Traced RGBIR Images. </span></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Ground Conditions: </span><span>Ground condition was free of snow and acquisition occurred free of smoke, fog and cloud cover.</span></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Contractor: </span><span>NV5 Ground Control Points were acquired and calibrated by NV5. Data acquisition was coordinated by NV5 and all lidar data calibration, and follow-on processing were completed by NV5. </span></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Elevation Units: </span><span>U.S. Feet</span></p></div></div></div>
